Terms of Service

Welcome to MyDrivr. By accessing or using mydrivr.app ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. What MyDrivr Is

MyDrivr is a marketplace platform that connects travellers with local drivers. We facilitate the matching of trip requests with driver offers. We do not provide transportation services ourselves.

2. MyDrivr Is Not a Transportation Provider

MyDrivr is a technology platform only. Drivers who use our platform are independent contractors, not employees or agents of MyDrivr. We are not responsible for the actual transportation service provided by drivers. Any agreement for transportation is between the traveller and the driver directly.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By using MyDrivr, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

4. Driver Responsibilities

Drivers are solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining valid driver's licenses and any permits required for their jurisdiction
  • Obtaining and maintaining adequate insurance coverage for their vehicles and passengers
  • Complying with all applicable local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations
  • The accuracy of information they provide on their profile

MyDrivr does not verify driver credentials, insurance, or compliance with local laws. Travellers are encouraged to verify these matters directly with drivers before booking.

5. Limitation of Liability

MyDrivr takes no responsibility for the quality, safety, or legality of any transportation service provided by drivers. We do not guarantee the accuracy of user profiles, trip listings, or offers. We are not liable for any disputes, injuries, damages, or losses arising from the use of our platform or from transportation services arranged through it.

6. Payments

Currently, payments are made directly between travellers and drivers. MyDrivr does not process payments or hold funds. Any payment arrangement is solely between the traveller and the driver. We are not responsible for payment disputes, failed transactions, or refunds.

7. Refunds and Disputes

We do not offer a refund policy through MyDrivr. Any disputes regarding payment, service quality, or cancellations must be resolved directly between the traveller and the driver. MyDrivr may, at its discretion, assist in facilitating communication but has no obligation to mediate or resolve disputes.

8. Account Suspension

MyDrivr reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts for violations of these Terms, for fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect the platform and its users. We may do so without prior notice where we believe appropriate.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
